We know that this year has been full of surprises and unforeseeable plot twists but we’re in the last quarter of 2020 and the Holidays are quickly approaching. Let’s control what we can control by coming up with a plan to minimize the stress of dealing with the Holiday season. There’s a saying that goes “Proper preparation prevents poor performance”. Getting prepared for the foreseeable future is the best way to eliminate a lot of the stress that comes with dealing with this time of year. Obviously with social distancing still being the theme for 2020, we’ll want to implement a plan that keeps everyone safe and healthy; but will also still allow us to celebrate the festivities with our loved ones. First and foremost, what we know is that you can’t pour from an empty cup and us Wine Down beauties like to stay poured up, literally and figuratively. Pouring into yourself is one of our favorite self-care techniques and as much as we want to prepare for the Holidays, the best way to start is to brace yourself with mental preparation. This may sound cliché but making a list is one of the most effective methods of preparation that you could implement. This way you can make sure you’re not missing any important details when it’s time to go to work. There’s a reason Santa was making a list and checking it twice. He was just getting all of his reindeer in a row (so to speak) before he set out on his journey.
The next tip, and we can’t stress this enough, delegate! Don’t stretch yourself thin, sis. Don’t let yourself do all of the work. Let your cousins and them know ahead of time who’s in charge of what so they’re not waiting until the last minute to grab those Pattie Pies (Y’all know they sell out fast). This way you can focus on roasting that turkey to perfection. And last but not least, make sure you’re stocked up on your favorite wine and Wine Down Beauty products.
Nothing gets you through the Holidays like a glass of Pinot Grigio and thick flawless skin. Head over to Wine Down Beauty and gift yourself the experience of trying our wine-infused skin products. As a matter of fact, you can gift a few other people too. Afterall, it is the season of giving and we have something for everybody. See, you can kill two turtle doves with one stone and a partridge in a pear tree.
Making lists really do help self accountability and I feel so much better when I see, with my eyes, crossed out tasks. It’s a confidence booster!
Delegating his sooo helpful. I’ve trained my son and he does great.
